10 Activities for Quiet Time

These great posts all came from last weeks Tuesday Tots linkup
where we featured Activities using Balls

FEATURED

I'm not a believer that children need to work in silence in order to learn, in fact, generally speaking, quite the opposite. However we all need and relish some quiet time. Whether it's to change the direction of play or attitudes, to help calm down, to let a little sibling sleep, to have a rest, to relax or to really concentrate, a bit of time being quietly engaged can sometimes do a world of good. Here are a selection of activities suitable for some independent quiet time.

1.  Citrus Sensory Tray from Fun-a-Day on B.Inspired Mama

2.  Number Writing Salt Game from Learn with Play at Home

3. Monsters Inc Pompom Craft  from Red Ted Art

4. Lovely Shell Activities from Fantastic Fun and Learning

5. Scissor Exercises from Happy Hooligans

6. Simple Ocean Sensory Bin from fun-a-day

7. Button Blanket Sensory Bin from Rubber Boots and Elf Shoes

8. Paper Flower Lei Craft from Gummy Lump

9. Sticky Easel with Craft Supplies from Learn with Play at Home

10. Bottle Top Spelling Game (including free printables) from The Measured Mum

When we need a bit of independent Quiet time, we currently pull out Maddie's "Quiet Box"
See what we put in our Quiet Box.
